About Me

Hi, I'm Andrew, your local driving instructor. Having grown up in the area and attended Amman Valley School, I'm deeply connected to our community. I’m married with two sons, both living locally. For 10 years, I coached a mini and junior football team at Saron and was actively involved in running the club. For the past 20 years, I’ve also helped run KRUF FC, a local charity football team based in Penygroes, raising money for the Kidney Wales Foundation.

I began my driving tuition career with a national franchise, receiving top-class training that I continue to uphold. With today’s roads busier than ever, I focus not just on helping learners pass their tests, but on teaching essential road safety skills. I believe today’s learners are the future of road safety, and my goal is to ensure they become confident, responsible drivers.

Services That I Offer

    • Locations That I Cover

    I am based in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire. The primary areas I cover in lessons are Ammanford, Crosshands, Cwmamman and Llandeilo. Carmarthen and Llanelli are the main test centers covered. A lot of training will be done in these areas, allowing learners to maximize their practice time in the same environment where they'll take their test.


    I may be able to accommodate customers outside these areas, though it could require a higher fee due to increased travel time. If you’re unsure whether I can reach your location, please get in touch, and we can discuss the best option for you.

    Payments


    1. Payments must be made by the pupil at the start of the lesson or before. 


    2. Payments accepted by cash or bank transfer. Please ensure you have the payment as any “stop at the cashpoint" will be during lesson time. 


    Cancellation Policy


    1. At least 2 working days notice, (a working day being Monday to Friday inclusive), if you wish to cancel a driving lesson, otherwise you will liable for the lesson fee.


    2. Your instructor has the right to cancel any lesson booked, with minimum notice, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances but will always re-arrange your lesson. (Tests will take priority and lessons may be affected).


    3. When having a driving lesson you must be at least 24hrs free from any alcohol consumed and totally drug free, if you are found to be falling into any or both these categories your instructor has the right to refuse to go ahead with your lesson and you will still have to pay for it. 


    Driving Tests


    1.Driving tests can either be booked by yourself or your instructor. Please ensure that you have consulted your instructor before booking a driving test as they will know when they will be available. Failure to consult with your instructor may result in the car being unavailable for use on the day.


    2. Your instructor has the right to withdraw the use of a training vehicle for the purpose of a driving test if they believe that the pupil has not reached the excepted standard as set out by the Driving Standards Agency.
